About us
Locally owned. Personally run.
Anel's is a small, locally owned in-home support service founded by Tamatha Clay to help Lexington-area seniors live comfortably at home — with companionship, a hand with errands, and the everyday things that make life easier.
No franchise. No call center. When you reach out, you reach Tamatha.
Meet Tamatha
A real person, at your kitchen table.
I'm Tamatha Clay, owner of Anel's. I started this business because I believe the best way to help a senior stay at home is the simplest one: show up consistently, help with what's hard, and treat them like family.
Most of what I do isn't dramatic. It's a ride to the doctor, the laundry folded, the pill taken on time, the half-hour of real conversation that breaks up a quiet afternoon. The small things done well are what keep someone safe and content at home — and they're where I\'ve spent my career.
If that\'s the kind of help your family is looking for, I\'d love to hear from you.
What we stand on
Three words we actually mean.
Trust
Dependable, transparent, in writing. You should never wonder what happened during a visit — or who's at the door. Consistent schedules, clear communication, and simple pricing are how that gets built.
Reliability
Showing up when I say I will, doing what I say I'll do. It sounds obvious until you've worked with someone who didn't. Reliability is the whole job.
Humanity
Your mother is not a client. Your father is not a case. They're specific people with specific histories who deserve specific care. Warmth first, everything else after.
Our promises
Six things we\'ll stand behind — in writing.
You'll meet me before anything starts.
A free, no-pressure visit at your home — so you know exactly who's coming through the door.
You'll always talk to a real person.
Call, text, or email — you reach me, not a call center. Same number, same voice.
You won't be locked into a contract.
Pause, reduce, or stop with reasonable notice. No penalties, ever.
Schedules that fit real life.
Mornings, evenings, weekends, a few hours or a full day — we work around your family.
I'll say "that's not me" when it isn't.
If what you need is skilled nursing or a specialized facility, I'll tell you — and help point you in the right direction.
I'll always listen.
If something isn't working, say so. That's how the care stays good over time.
Rooted here
Made for the Bluegrass — by neighbors, not a brand.
I live here. I know the back routes to UK HealthCare, which pharmacies have the shortest Saturday lines, and where to find a good slice of coconut sand pie on the way home. It\'s not a gimmick — it\'s why care feels different when it\'s truly local.
- Locally owned and operated
- Serving Lexington and the surrounding Bluegrass
- One-on-one, no bouncing between staff
"Tamatha treats my mother like her own. That\'s the only thing I was looking for, and it\'s the one thing no one else got right."
Come meet us
The best way to know if we\'re a fit is to invite us over.
The in-home assessment is free, takes about an hour, and you\'ll know by the end whether we feel like the right team. No pressure — never has been.
